Lovely indoor shopping in the Kroonpassage
The Kroonpassage is an indoor shopping center in the city center of Den Helder. The shopping center has no fewer than 20 stores under one roof and something for everyone. Clothing stores, opticians, shoe stores, telecom, supermarkets, perfumery and a travel agency. Most stores open at 09.00 and close at 18.00.

The big advantage is that you can shop indoors if the weather is not that good. From the trainstation you cross the street and walk directly into the Kroonpassage next to the HEMA. The shopping center has three entrances. At the Beatrixstraat, at the Spoorstraat and one at the Kerkstraat. It does not matter which direction you come from. Because the shopping center is so neutral you can walk directly to the other shopping streets. Every last Sunday of the month there is a shopping Sunday in Den Helder. Of course that is also the Kroonpassage opened but that does not apply to all stores.
Regularly there are special promotions on Saturdays and Sundays. You can think of a treasure hunt for children, special events at Easter and fashion shows. And of course the stores have their own individual actions. Throughout the year, the decoration of the shopping center is adapted to the season. During the holidays there is a wonderful atmosphere with matching music and decoration. Even Sinterklaas and Santa Claus come there to visit and there is always something to do for the little ones.
