The museum harbor for lovers of ships
The heart of Willemsoord is the Museumhaven. On the quay are beautifully restored ships with the lightship Texel as eye-catcher, which was once a beacon in the sea. With a number of ships you can make a cruise yourself. The two museums on the complex, the National Rescue Museum Dorus Rijkers and the Naval Museum give a glimpse into the past and present of the Navy and the rescue industry. For art works and changing exhibitions, there is the Kunstuitleen. You can also live in the children’s play paradise, watch a game in the casino or lean back for a movie in the Kinepolis cinema.
